Ì skrivende stund er det flere som har ytret at demokratenes kandidat Joe Biden fremstår noe usynlig i media, med tanke på å kunne bli USAs 46. President. Men (minst) like mange har påpekt at det kanskje er en bevisst strategi? Den pågående Covid-19 krisen har vist seg utfordrende for den sittende Presidenten; kanskje litt for utfordrende? Jevnlig dukker det opp nye tv-kampanjer som i praksis baner vei for Joe Biden som USAs neste President (uten at han trenger å foreta seg noe), og nedenfor har jeg samlet noen av de mest ødeleggende reklamefilmene som er blitt publisert den siste tiden. De fleste er produsert av republikanerne bak The Lincoln Project, som ifølge sine egne nettsider har følgende oppdrag:

“OUR MISSION: Defeat President Trump and Trumpism at the ballot box. We do not undertake this task lightly nor from ideological preference. Our many policy differences with national Democrats remain. However, the priority for all patriotic Americans must be a shared fidelity to the Constitution and a commitment to defeat those candidates who have abandoned their constitutional oaths, regardless of party. Electing Democrats who support the Constitution over Republicans who do not is a worthy effort“.’

Men før vi ser nærmere på de mange valgkampvideoene, tenker jeg vi kan begynne med den første – som handler om Joe Biden 🙂 I mitt hode er dette en strålende video som forteller meg (og forhåpentligvis mange andre) at Joe Biden vil kunne bringe USA tilbake til sitt rette “jeg” etter novembervalget 🙂
